Active Listening
Core preparation
Allies learn to hear without judgment and create space for people to feel understood.
Life Ally is a program of Suicide Sucks, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to offering non-clinical, peer-to-peer connection and reducing isolation for individuals facing life's challenges.

To connect people with caring, compassionate listeners who offer encouragement and companionship when life feels heavy, without judgment or pressure.
A world where everyone who needs to feel heard can access real human connection, regardless of their financial situation.
Human connection. Privacy. No judgment. Accessibility. Transparency about what we can and cannot do.

04
Everyone deserves connection, regardless of their financial situation. Donor-sponsored conversations make support free when needed.
05
We're honest about what we can and cannot do. Life Ally is peer-to-peer connection, not crisis care or licensed treatment.
Our Allies complete non-clinical preparation in active listening, encouragement, companionship, and healthy boundaries, with ongoing community support behind them.
